Melanie Hollis, a licensed veterinary technician in Texas, grew up in South Central Los Angeles and didn’t own a pet until age 15. Despite not having early exposure to veterinary medicine, her love of animals and their care propelled her to a career that has included companion animal and equine experience, veterinary technician education, and speaking nationally on a broad range of topics.
